"A worldwide message of hope and life... For the first time on screen join the Sami Theatre of the Little Sun in an extraordinary performance celebrating 1000 years of Sami history. Fantastic music, short dialogues, unique chanting and weird and wonderful masks create a stunning theatrical performance. This video depicts the Sami's struggle to keep their language and culture alive, to protect the rich natural resources of the Arctic from destruction, and to establish to land rights of their people. The Samis, once called Laplanders, act out their thousand year battle to survive intruders from the outside world. The ogres in the play represent ancient armed bandits and 16th-Century missionaries, the Nazis, and present-day interlopers intent on installing nuclear plants and hydro-electric projects. The Samis are dedicated to preserving their rights, their indigenous culture, and their reindeer herds."

"This is an important video as it shows the history of Native People in an affirmative way, while being highly entertaining, powerful, and full of humor and insight. The drama make the important connection that these 'ogres' are all around us and must be fought by the Sami (and all of us) if the planet is to survive. Highly recommended!"
- Doug Moss, Publisher - E-The Environmental Magazine
